For many, this place is sacred for honoring others, providing solace and a sense of connection to loved ones. The atmosphere of quiet respect found here can offer a comforting space for introspection and remembrance.

Friends of the Bolivar-Hardeman County Library {213 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} is holding a Pack a Bag for $1 Book Sale during library hours while books last.

Read the Hardeman County Restaurant Inspection Scores and find somewhere new to eat this weekend in Hardeman County.

Volunteer and give back to your community at one of these locations this weekend (or during the week). If your child will use the Tennessee Promise in the fall as a new or returning students, they can volunteer at one or more of those locations to satisfy the community service hour requirement. Tennessee Promise hours for fall 2024 students must be completed by Monday, July 1, 2024.

Bolivar City Pool is now open for the summer from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $2.

Southern Fried Funeral opens tonight at the Hardeman County Arts Council {1580 West Market Street, Bolivar, 38008} at 7 p.m. Although it’s a funeral, sometimes people in a family just don’t know how to behave. Tickets are $12 and may be purchased online, at the Hardeman County Arts Council from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., and one hour before the performance.

Bring your lawn chair and enjoy Music on the Square with the music of Bobby & Sue Bates Music that will open for Southbound at 7 p.m.

Take in a movie at the Luez Theater {219 North Main Street, Bolivar, 38008} where IF will show on the big screen at 7 p.m.

Dexter McCluster Free Youth Football Camp will be held at the Whiteville City Park from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Bolivar City Pool is now open for the summer from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is $2.

Free Fishing Day will be held at Lone Oaks Farm from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. Loaner fishing tackle will also be available if needed.

Pre-Juneteenth Celebration will be held at Bolivar City Park from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Bring your grill and join in the cook out fun. The NAACP will be there registering people to vote.

The Hardeman County Carl Perkins Center presents its first annual Father-Daughter Dance “Royal Daddy-Daughter Ball” from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

The 2024 Open Air Summer Concert Series Kick Off on the Court Square Amphitheater from 6 p.m. to midnight. Event activities, Greek alumni social, Open Air Concert, and Open Air Block Party.

Porters Creek Baptist Church will hold its VBS program from 6 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. that runs through Friday, June 14, 2024.
