Shoppers can expect to find more than tomatoes at the county farmers markets. Some of the produce sold include cucumbers, corn, potatoes, greens, and peppers, as well as homemade baked goods, and jams and jellies, and more.
Volunteer and give back to your community at one of these locations this weekend (or during the week). If your child will use the Tennessee Promise scholarship in the spring as a new or returning student, they can volunteer at one or more of those locations to satisfy the community service hour requirement. Don’t wait until the last minute. Tennessee Promise hours for spring 2025 students must be completed by Monday, December 2, 2024.

Middleton High School Homecoming festivities continue at the school with the following schedule: Parade: 1:15 p.m., Pep Rally: 2:30 p.m., Tailgate: 4:30 p.m., Pregame: 5:30 p.m., and Game Time: 7 p.m.

TEC Brings Recycling Roundup will be held in Middleton from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Hardeman County citizens are invited to participate.
Annual Fall Festival will be held at Backermann’s Country Market {260 US-64, Whiteville, Tennessee. 38075} and Byler Craft {655 US-64, Whiteville, 38075} in Whiteville at 8 a.m. Plan to stay for the auction and eat a healthy lunch at Backermann’s . . . and maybe sneak in an ice cream cone!
The Rural Community Heath Fair is presented by Brown Behavioral Health Services, PLLC and Integrative Healthcare Solutions, PLLC at Bolivar City Hall {211 North Washington Street, Bolivar, 38008} from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call (731) 228-9068 for more information.
Hardeman County Middle School Softball Tournament will be held at Middleton High School at 11 a.m. Admission is $6.

Tennessee Shakespeare Company to present a free performances of The Comedy of Errors in La Grange at 4 p.m.
Porters Creek Baptist Church {5120 Peavine Road, Middleton, 38052} is holding a free Fall Festival from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. with chili and hot dogs, bouncy houses, games, popcorn and nachos, hayrides, cart and pony rides, and lots of candy prizes. Everyone is welcome!
