Shrek The Musical JR. opens tonight at the Hardeman County Arts Council and runs through Sunday. Performance times are Friday and Saturday, September 8 – 9, 2023, at 7 p.m. and Sunday, September 10, 2023, at 2 p.m. Tickets ae $12, reserved seating, and may be purchased online and one hour before the start of each performance at the box office. Music on the Square – This Friday night, Annelise Walley Bess is opening for Southbound Band. Bring your lawn chairs and enjoy a free, family-friendly concert behind the Hardeman County Courthouse in Bolivar on Friday evening at 7 p.m. In the event of rain, Music on the Square will move to the Farmers Market Pavilion. {see the full Music on the Square schedule here}
The Hill Movie (PG) is showing at the historic Luez Theater! Showtimes are Friday, September 8, 2023, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The box office opens one hour prior to showtime for ticket sales. The true story of Rickey Hill, the son of a traveling pastor who overcomes physical obstacles to pursue his dream of playing baseball in the major leagues.
Gospel Music on the Square is Saturday, September 9 at 7:00 p.m., starting with Stephen Wood at 7pm, then the Gospel quartet, GraceSong at 8pm.
Fayette County Cotton Festival and High Cotton 5k Race are happening in Somerville on Saturday, September 9. Read more about the race here.
Middleton Church of Christ is holding a Youth Rally on Sunday, September 10 at 5:00 p.m. The guest speaker will be Seth Stewart. Middleton Church of Christ is located at 224 N. Main in Middleton.
