This Hatchie Press Weekend Planner is sponsored by UT Extension’s Hardeman Healthy Outreach. They aim to improve access to healthy foods and physical activity opportunities in towns, churches, food pantries, worksites, and parks – to reduce chronic disease that may come with obesity. It is made possible with funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.


The following are some events happening in and around Hardeman County the weekend of October 21 – October 23, 2022.

A prayer walk will be held Saturday, October 22nd at 9 a.m. Start at the courthouse. Walk highway 64 to Bull Market and back to courthouse. Join at any point along the route, if needed. There will be prayer points and water stations along the way. All churches in he county are invited to join in walking and praying for the peace of Jesus in our town, county, state, and nation. Sponsored by Hardeman County Baptist Association.

Back by popular demand for an encore performance! Star Inc. Presents: Broadway Nights! Featuring some of your favorite songs from across all eras of Broadway with shows like Les Miserable, Hamilton, Company, Wicked, and many more! The encore performance will be on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at 6 p.m. Tickets are $10 and may be purchased online or at the box office one hour prior to the show. The Fair Theater is located at 116 East Market Street, Somerville, Tennessee 38068.

Go and see Black Adam (RATED R) at the Luez Theater. Showtimes are Friday at 7 p.m., and Saturday at 3:30 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Middleton Elementary School { 180 Robin Court, Middleton, 38052 } is holding a harvest festival on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at 11 a.m. There will be food, fun, games, a haunted house, a country store, and a silent and a live auction.

Bolivar BBQ Blowout and Music Festival, Friday and Saturday, October 21 – 22, 2022, at the farmers market, 110 Lafayette Street in Downtown Bolivar. Read more about it here.

The Carl Perkins Center presents a Motorcycle Benefit Ride on Saturday, October 22, 2022. Start time is 11 a.m. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. on race day. For more information or to register, call Craig Collins at (731) 361-9236.

The Carl Perkins Center presents the 5k Boo Run / 1 mile Fun Run on Saturday, October 22, 2022, beginning at the 8:30 a.m. at the Bolivar Farmers Market, 110 Lafayette Street in Bolivar.
