Hatchie River Area Youth Soccer to Hold Alumni Soccer Match

Before the Hatchie River Area Youth Soccer (HRAYS) league finishes its fall 2024 season this week, it will hold an alumni soccer match on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 2 p.m. All alumni soccer players along with the U18 team players from the current season are invited to come out to the soccer fields in Middleton for an afternoon of fun and to make new memories.

The HRAYS has offered recreational soccer to youth in Hardeman County and its surrounding areas for more than 20 years. The last HRAYS alumni match was held in 2022. Players from that current year and as far back as 15 years came out to play. Although there were a lot of sore bodies that left that evening, all enjoyed returning to the field to play a game they loved.

Shin guards are required, and cleats are recommended. Spectators are welcome and should come dressed for the weather. The HRAYs soccer players tend to play regardless of how cold it gets and will stay until the end of the game, and sometimes longer. There are bleachers on the field to use or bring a lawn chair. The HRAYs would love to see the community come out and support the players. Admission is free to attend.

The Middleton soccer fields are located one block from the crossroads at Highways 125 and 57 (heading towards Pocahontas) behind TK Elevator Manufacturing.
