Health and Fitness Expo Highlights Healthy and Active Lifestyles
Total Transformation kicked off 2023 with the New Year New You Health & Fitness Expo that was held in Bolivar at the municipal center on Saturday, January 21, 2023. Ten vendors, along with Total Transformation came out to demonstrate and educate expo attendees on ways to make healthier choices and incorporate more physical activity in their lives.
In Hardeman County, Total Transformation is becoming synonymous with healthier and active living as it has promoted awareness of one’s mind, body, and spirit since its founding more than one year ago.
“Our body is our temple and definitely a gift from God,” said Melissa McTizic, founder of Total Transformation. “When we have a healthy mind, body, and spirit, we have more to offer not only to ourselves but to our families.”
Some of the vendors that had displays at the expo included the Hardeman County Community Health Center, Hardeman County Health Department, the Hardeman County Schools, and more.
Timothy Locke of DragonHeart Academy of Martial Arts also had a booth and his students presented several demonstrations of the martial arts techniques he teaches in his academy classes.
“It was a success if only one person was helped, but from the response from many, it ignited and fueled their desire to get moving and make better choices regarding their health,” said McTizic. “Our registration showed more than 120 participants and guests who attended this first expo experience.”
McTizic is already considering ideas for the next health and fitness expo that will include more vendors, education on good health habits, self-care techniques, and nutritional guidance.
