Health Inspector Visits Bolivar KFC After Anonymous Complaint

A health inspector paid a visit to the Bolivar KFC after receiving an anonymous complaint and pictures of a very dirty kitchen.

According to the report, the inspector visited the location on Tuesday, September 3, 2024, and found the kitchen facility to be very dirty with trash, food bits, and water buildup all over the floor.

“Water was built up in damaged areas of the floor as well as around floor drains. Various items of trash were witnessed on the floor throughout the entire kitchen. Food prep surfaces such as make line and chicken cooking station were dirty with food bits present,” stated the inspector report.

The complainant provided pictures showing the chicken trays used at the fryer station to be very dirty with old chicken stacked up and not under temperature control. In another picture, a container of contaminated sweet tea was shown. During the site visit on Tuesday, these issues were not witnessed by the inspector.

The report states, “No priority violations were witnessed during this visit. Multiple minor violations were witnessed and discussed with PIC [person in charge] on site.”

KFC received a 96 on its last restaurant inspection, which occurred on Monday, July 29, 2024.
