Hilarious Family Feud Fundraiser Supports a Great Cause {lots of video}

The annual Hardeman County Carl Perkins Center fundraiser, which was held on Saturday, September 27, 2025, at the Hardeman County Arts Center, was full of eager players, questionable responses, and continuous laughter by all throughout the evening. It was six teams, two emcees, and after the Carl Perkins Center Family Feud Live Celebrity Edition of 2024, no one in the audience (or on the stage for that matter) knew what to expect during the 2025 event. And, neither the contestants or the returning emcee team of Tim Moss and Boyette Denton disappointed.

Family Feud Live paired Team Bolivar Central High School against Team Middleton High School, Team John Q. Public against Team Law Enforcement, and Team City against Team County, with the city ready to defend its winning title from 2024.

Whether it was a good decision or not to pair Tim Moss and Bodeen Denton putting them “in charge” during each round is uncertain, but they both did manage to keep order in between their comical comments.

Some survey questions posed to the teams included:

1) Name something that gets smaller the more you use it.

    2) What’s something you might do when you’re home alone that you wouldn’t do in public?

    3) Other than feet, name something that runs.

    4) Name a type of gun that doesn’t shoot bullets.

Everyone once in a while, Tim had to remind the contestants , when their answer did not appear on the board as a top survey response, that he was not to blame.

During the evening, information about the working efforts and accomplishments of the Hardeman County Carl Perkins Center were shared. In response to abuse allegations the Center received from families, the following are some facts from 2024:

    • Advocates worked with families and attended court on the behalf of the children and families.
    • Provided Thanksgiving meals to 10 families and Christmas gifts to 15 families, serving 52 children
    • The center served 183 individuals of which 91 were children, 92 adults, and and a total of 81 families
    • Provided emergency food and necessities assistance to an extra 10 non-client families, which included 21 children
    • Therapist worked with 16 children and four graduating from the program with its mission
    • Participated in fundraising and community events and were able to reach 425 children and 1,050 adults

“We are here for a great cause and appreciate your contribution and your attendance here tonight,” said Boyette, who reminded all the funds received from all Center efforts stay in Hardeman County to serve those families.

Several businesses and individuals from the community donated items for the live and silent auctions. Some of the items included vacation getaways, a football ticket package, athlete memorabilia, business advertisement package, a massage experience, and more.

So much more could very easily be written about the Carl Perkins Center Family Feud Live Celebrity Edition 2025, but it may be better relayed through the videos, which are sure to make you laugh.

For the record, MHS took the win over BCHS, John Q. Public took the win over Law Enforcement, and County redeemed itself taking the win over City. If you are keeping record, that is one for the City and one for the County. We will see what happens next year!
