Homeschool students from across West Tennessee, and some from out of state, gathered on Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Robin’s Nest Event Venue in Toone to enjoy “Under the Moon and Stars”: A Homeschool Prom hosted by Homeschool Roster. The homeschool prom is held annually by Homeschool Roster and is a highly anticipated event, and this year did not disappoint.

Almost 200 guests, which included homeschool teens and parents, attended the event. Homeschool teens were able to bring public school and private school guests.

“Attending prom is the highlight for many teens during the middle school and high school years,” said Jennifer Smeltser, who coordinates field trips and events throughout the school year for homeschool families. “Just because a student homeschools does not mean they have to miss out on the same activities their public school and private school peers enjoy.”
