It’s Election Day in the City of Bolivar!

Four City of Bolivar council positions are up for election today, May 16, 2023. The positions are non-partisan and divided over two districts. Bolivar residents will be able to vote for the candidates in their district.

Bolivar residents may vote at their designated precinct (either the National Guard Armory or Bolivar Municipal Center) from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Candidates that are on the ballot are:

District A, Position 1; Carol B. Spinks (incumbent) and Caroline Miller

District A, Position 2; Larry McKinnie (incumbent) and Donnell Polk Jr. {read more about Larry McKinnie here}

District B, Position 1; Todd N. Lowe (incumbent) and Gwenda Woods {read more about Todd Lowe here}

District B, Position 3; Christopher Lee Williams {read more about Christopher Williams here}

The Bolivar City Mayor’s position and the remaining Bolivar City Council positions will be up for election in 2025.
