January Library Happenings
The following is a list of some events happening at our county libraries in January 2023.
Middleton Library programs:
- STEM Class With Kasi on Thursday, January 12: Kids! We will have fun activities using S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics). Kasi will do hands-on learning with participants. It’s going to be so much fun! And it’s all free! Ages six to 13.
- Book Club for Adults on Friday, January 13: This month’s Book Club Pick is The Secrets We Kept by Lara Prescott. Copies of the book will be available for checkout at the library. The book club meets monthly on the second Friday of every month.
- Basic Tai Chi on Fridays, January 13, 20, and 27: Our Hardeman County Extension agent will be with us to do an introduction to Basic Tai Chi. The classes will last one hour every Friday, January 13, through March 3.
- Basic Chair Yoga for Arthritis on Wednesday, January 18: Our Hardeman county Extension Agent will be with us to do an introduction to Basic Chair Yoga. The classes will last one hour, two Wednesdays per month (February through March) after January.
- Preschool Storytime on Thursday, January 19: Join us for Storytime for Preschoolers! We will be reading winter stories and we will have fun activities and treats!
- Family Movie Day on Saturday, January 14: Come one, come all! We will watch a family-friendly movie in our new library addition! We have not chosen the movie yet.
Grand Junction Library programs:
- The GED program meets every Wednesday at the library at 12:30 p.m. Call the library at (731) 764-2716 for more information.
- The Grand Junction Library has had donations of hand sanitizer wipes and also home COVID tests. While supplies last, they are handing these out to the community. Simply stop in the library and pick them up.
- The Library is open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and Wednesdays and Fridays from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m.
Bolivar- Hardeman County Library programs:
- The Bolivar Library will hold Sassy Seniors on Tuesdays, January 10 and 24.
- Preschool story time will be held on Thursday, January 5 and 19.
