Madison Boatwright Named to Blue Mountain Christian University’s Fall 2023 President’s List
Madison Boatwright of the Bolivar Central High School Class of 2023 is continuing to make academic achievements having been named to the Blue Mountain Christian University’s (BMCU) Fall 2023 President’s List. She is studying nursing and is expected to graduate in May 2026.
“If the Lord allows, I plan to work in and around West Tennessee to begin my career. I want to specialize in Emergency Medicine,” said Madison. “I look forward to fulfilling God’s plan for my life by helping people feel better physically, but also sharing God’s love with them. I am so excited to be able to use the skills I am learning at BMCU to help others grow physically and spiritually.”
Madison has already had the opportunity to help others when working in the Teaching and Learning Center (TLC) on campus.
“I get to help students with homework if they need it, or they can just come and sit to have a quiet place to work. It is also completely free for the student body,” said Madison who has also been able to use her God given talents to share more about Him. “My roommate and I have begun to lead worship at the Baptist Student Union (BSU) on some Tuesday nights. It has been a joy to use the talents the Lord has given me to lead people to Him!”
BMCU has been a good fit for Madison who enjoys being able to really connect with her professors who have been supportive not only academically, but personally. She is looking forward to continuing in her second semester at the university.
“One thing that is definitely different about BMCU is the teacher to student ratio. The classes are smaller than a lot of colleges, which allows for a real connection between the students and teachers,” said Madison. “These professors really do care to see their students succeed. They are willing to give their students all the necessary tools to learn the material. I have always felt heard and cared about by each of my professors so far.”
Madison Boatwright is the daughter of Matthew and Michelle Boatwright. Her siblings are Chelsea Durr, Ben Hazelwood, Matthew Boatwright Jr., and Mya Boatwright.
Undergraduate student’s on the BMCU President’s List attend full-time and have earned a perfect grade point average (GPA) of 4.0.
