Mariah McKinnie Receives Scholarship From Grand Junction Ruritan Club

The Grand Junction Ruritan Club presented a college scholarship of $1,000 to Mariah McKinnie, of Grand Junction, at its June meeting.

Ms. McKinnie recently graduated from Middleton High school and plans to attend college at Northwest Community College in Senatobia, Mississippi and major in pre-med. She hopes to become an anesthesiologist.  She has participated in many school and community activities including; the National Beta Club, HOSA, senior class president, cheer co-captain, and she was a grand marshall of the 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade. {Watch the 2024 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Parade here}

Mariah McKinnie is the daughter of Billy and Anita McKinnie and the granddaughter of Debra McKinnie, all of Grand Junction. 

The Ruritan Club exists to support urban & rural communities in times of stress and need through fellowship, goodwill and community service. The local club includes outreach from Middleton to Hickory Valley and includes Saulsbury and LaGrange.
