Mayor McTizic Hosts Charity Ball
Dust off your dancing shoes and get ready for a fun evening of dining and entertainment while supporting local Hardeman County charity organizations.
The 2023 Mayor’s Charity Ball will be the fourth charity event Bolivar Mayor Julian McTizic has sponsored during his time in office. Since the City of Bolivar does not budget funds for charitable organizations, the Mayor felt led to find a way to assist them.
“I felt led to support non-profit/charitable organizations that were investing time, energy, and effort into our community,” commented Mayor McTizic. “The purpose of the ball is to raise funds for those local non-profit and charitable organizations that invest in assisting our residents.”
Over the course of the four years the ball has been held, approximately $11,000 has been donated to participating non-profit organizations. The Hardeman County Carl Perkins Exchange and Club Center and Toys for Tots will be benefiting from this year’s event. In addition to assisting non-profits, Mayor McTizic also enjoys recognizing those that have given back to the community.
“My favorite part of the event was something that we added in 2019. As part of the event, I choose to highlight a special citizen, business, or group who has given back to our community through service and deed. This portion of the event holds a special place in my heart and rarely leaves a dry eye in the room. The extraordinary people in our community who give selflessly to serve others are a huge part of what makes our city so very special,” shared Mayor McTizic.
The Mayor’s Charity Ball will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 6 p.m. at the Bolivar Municipal Center, 211 North Washington Street, Bolivar, Tennessee 38008.
