30 Years of Glamour: Merle Norman Cosmetics Honored for Business Milestone

Ivy Williamson of Merle Norman Cosmetics celebrated 30 years in business on Friday, November 7, 2025, with a ribbon cutting ceremony held by the Hardeman County Chamber of Commerce. Merle Norman Cosmetics, known as Bolivar’s premier cosmetic studio, has been the go-to location for people wanting to look their best at all times.

On hand to celebrate the achievement with Ms. Williamson were family, friends, City of Bolivar Vice-Mayor Suzanne Rhea, and Hardeman County Mayor Todd Pulse, who presented her with a business milestone certificate. It read as follows:

A special moment during the event was the actual cutting of the ribbon. Chamber Director Vicki Walton handed Ms. Williamson the same set of scissors used 30 years ago to cut the ribbon when she opened her business. Surprisingly, they still cut!

Ms. Williamson, on the verge of happy tears, thanked everyone for their support and invited them inside Merle Norman Cosmetics to continue the celebration with refreshments.

On behalf of the citizens of Hardeman County, Ms. Walton presented Ms. Williamson with a plaque expressing appreciation for her 30 Years in Business, hard work, and dedication.

Along with cosmetics, Merle Norman Cosmetics carries jewelry, hats, purses, and other accessory accent items.
