MHS Lady Tigers Volleyball Kicks Off Season

The Middleton High School (MHS) Lady Tigers volleyball team got the opportunity to “test the volleyball waters” on Saturday, August 3, 2024, when it played at Freed-Hardeman University (FHU) during the annual FHU Playday. The event is one the MHS Lady Tigers team attends every year and is the kick off for the team’s season.

“The FHU Playday is always a good kick off for us. We played Chester County, Madison Academic, and Peabody. The girls did well,” said MHS volleyball coach Zeke Craft. “I just want them to do their best and to compete on all levels, fear no giants.”

The Lady Tigers open their playing season away against Camden High School on Thursday, August 8, 2024, and play their first home game against McNairy Central High School on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. The JV and varsity teams will play and games start at 5 p.m. They return to FHU on Saturday, August 24, 2024, to participate in the annual FHU Tournament.

Friendly county rival play will have the MHS Lady Tigers taking on the Bolivar Central High School (BCHS) Lady Tigers on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at home, and again on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at BCHS.
