Middleton Fundamentals Basketball Camp Ends with Awards Ceremony

Middleton High School presented awards to campers at the Middleton 10-Day Fundamentals Basketball Camp awards ceremony, which was held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. More than 50 students participated in the annual camp, which was held over the course of five weeks.

In the past, MHS head basketball Coach James Burkley has held several basketball camps, but this year was the first one where campers met weekly to hone their basketball skills. Campers included students ages seven to 14.

“Students were taught basketball fundamentals,” said Coach Burkley, who also shared some of the benefits of the camp. “We have great coaches who help the students with developing skills for the game, as well as building teamwork with the other campers.”

Other basketball coaches who assisted during the campers included: Eric Berry, Apprecia Geanes, Gabriel Jones, Linda McKinnie, Tylandris Parks, Lynn Price, Jerry Robinson, Jordan Stewart, Treka Tate, Monterrio Williams, Charles Woods, and Janiya Woody.
