Middleton High School Volleyball Players Come Out for Alumni Game

Middleton High School Lady Tigers volleyball players took to the court for the annual alumni game.

It was Middleton High School (MHS) volleyball with current players and a flashback to the past of alumni players that came out for the annual alumni reunion volleyball game on Saturday, November 4, 2023. For some, it was the same gym they had played all their games, and for others, it was the first time ever playing in the new gym. New gym or not, playing volleyball was second nature to the girls as they resumed their positions on the court and hustled for the ball just like they did when they were in high school.

Games paired the alumni girls against the current team, veteran alumni players against more recent alumni players, and just girls who wanted to continue playing, not ready for the experience to be over.

On the second row are Carlee Woods (Class of 2023), Harlie Lester (Class of 2023), Tayah Bridges (Class of 2021), Alana Kennamore (Class of 2019), and Alaina Russell (Class of 2020). On the third row are Jasmine Yuhas (Class of 2016), Christian Buggs (Class of 2016), Ally Davis (Class of 2022), Paula Dowty (Class of 2018), Ally Sisco (Class of 2019), and Marnina Smeltser (Class of 2022).

The Middleton High School Alumni volleyball game continues to be played each year, because the players express an interest and always return for a great time of fun and reunion with each other. Several of the players who came out last year to play, returned this year. While athletes at MHS, all of the girls played volleyball under coach Zeke Craft, who shared he is “happy they enjoy returning to play”.
