Middleton Lady Tigers Basketball Fall to Dresden in Semifinals
Middleton Lady Tigers played Dresden High School on Monday, March 3, 2025, in Atwood during the 1A Girls Region 7 Semifinals. The Ladies played hard, but were not able to bring home a win as they lost 52 to 61.
The Lady Tigers led early in the game by scoring the first points in just under two minutes. They managed to hold onto the lead through the end of the second quarter. Once they teams returned to the court after halftime. It was an evenly matched game with both teams tying a couple of times before Dresden took the lead in the fourth quarter. As the clock ticked down, the divide between the scores only grew.
The girls led during the first half with the following scores:
First quarter: 12-9
Second quarter: 29-26
Third quarter: 39-40
Final: 52-61
It has been a great season for the Middleton High School Lady Tigers, especially with the team’s district win!
Tonight, the Middleton Tigers play Union City High School at 7:30 p.m. in Atwood in the semifinals. The game will be played at West Carrol High School. Go out and support the team in person, if you can.
