Middleton to Recognize 2010 and 2015 Lady Tigers Basketball Teams

Each year, MHS head basketball coach James Burkley recognizes an MHS basketball team or person, who has left a memorable impression and contributed to the ongoing legacy of the school basketball program. This season, two MHS teams, one state championship and the other a state final four winner, will be recognized at home games in January 2025.

It will be 10 years since the Middleton High School Lady Tigers basketball team earned the 2015 Girls State Championship title with a 35-0 record. On Saturday, January 4, 2025, that team of girls will be recognized for their successful season and impressive legacy they left at MHS.

The Lady Tigers on the 2015 team include the following players:

  • Deja Faulkner (#42)
  • Cherelle Jones (#35)
  • Averyale Joy (#1)
  • Dakedra Mason (#30)
  • Rachelle Parks (#44)
  • Chelsea Perry (#20)
  • Alexis Pledge (#3)
  • Tatiayana Prewitt (#24)
  • Tyra Smith (#52)
  • Kiarea Walton (#5)
  • Sequoya Warren (#10)
  • Antonia Whatley (#14)

It will be 15 years since the 2010 Middleton High School Lady Tigers basketball team made it to the Final Four in 2010 with a 30-3 record. The date has been changed from January 14, to Thursday, February 6, 2025, when that team of girls will be recognized for their successful season and impressive legacy they left at MHS.

The players on that 2010 team include the following players:
