Middleton’s RJ Robinson Makes All-TCCAA Second Team as Green Jay

Rodgerick (RJ) Robinson, a former Middleton High School Tigers basketball player and current Jackson State Community College (JSCC) Green Jay, made the All-Tennessee Community College Athletic Association (TCCAA) Second Team All-Conference on Sunday, March 9, 2025. The announcement was made during the TCCAA/Region 7 Basketball Tournament, which was held at Southwest Community College in Memphis, Tennessee.

It has been almost two years since RJ last wore an MHS basketball jersey. During his career as a Tiger in middle school and high school, he earned several awards for his skill and performance on the court.

In middle school, he was awarded 2018 All-Tournament Team, 2019 Hardeman County Boys MVP, 2019 Class A Boys All-Tournament Team, and the 2019 Tennessee All Star MVP.

In high school, he was awarded 2020 District 14 A All-District Team, 2021 District 14 A All-District Team, 2021 District 14 A All-Tournament, 2022 District 14 A All-District, 2022 District 14 A All-Tournament, 2022 District 14 A MVP, 2022 Region 7 A All-Tournament, 2022 Region 7A MVP, 2022 Class A Mr. Basketball Finalist, 2022 1000th Point Club, 2023 District 14A All-District Team, 2023 District 14 A MVP, 2023 Region 7A Tournament MVP, 2023 2000th Point Club, 2023 Class A Boys State Tournament Team, 2023 Class A Mr. Basketball Winner, 2023 BCAT All-Stars Class A Boys Selection, and the 2023 Allen Iverson Classic Boys Tennessee Showcase Selection.

Jackson State Community College (JSCC) Green Jays basketball coach Cameron Cates recognized RJ’s potential at the beginning of the 2024/2025 season. It appears RJ is continuing as a standout player at the collegiate level.

Also making All-TCCAA Second Team were RJ’s Green Jay teammate, Jamarion Harvey; Yearld Mieses, Odell Bradley IV, and Janerus Snipe of Chattanooga State; Jeremiah Hayes of Cleveland State; Anfernee Hanna of Motlow State; Jonathan Caicedo of Pellissippi State; Jahiem Berry of Roane State; and Lavonta Ivery of Volunteer State.
