Mini Hee Haw Show Brings Back Memories and Good Times

It was not just residents of Bolivar that came out, but people from all over Hardeman County (and some from out of the area) for the Bicentennial Event Mini Hee Haw show, which was presented on Court Square on Monday, October 20, 2025. Just like at all previous Hardeman County Hee Haw shows, laughter, great fun, and a lot of memories were promised, and the cast delivered.
In March 2025, the Hardeman County Hee Haw production, raising funds for the American Cancer Society in its 46th year, was presented at the Hardeman County Arts Center in Bolivar.
“Traditionally, we have done this show for the American Cancer Society. At last count, is somewhere near half a million dollars that Hardeman County has sent to the American Cancer Society . . .,” said Jeff Shackleford. “Tonight, we are doing it for Bolivar’s Bicentennial. This year, Bolivar is 200 years old. Can you believe that? I know some of y’all might remember that day . . . “

The first and the last time Hee Haw was ever presented on Court Square was in September 2021 during Covid. Although on Monday, it was a mini production, the performance lasted for about one hour and a half, which is about half the time of the regular show. Despite the cooler weather, the performers continued with an entertaining show and the audience remained until the last strumming of the “geetar”.
