On Saturday, June 1, 2024, the Bolivar-Hardeman County NAACP Youth Council attended the NAACP State Conference bi-monthly meeting at the Worley Furnace Missionary Baptist Church in Dickson, Tennessee.

“I’m happy to have had the opportunity to participate in our NAACP State Conference bi-monthly meeting and the work they are doing and what we will do in the future! I also learned that the educational systems and standards should be held higher. We should advocate for better environments and learning experiences for our children,” said Rowan Green, an active member of the youth council.

The Bolivar-Hardeman County NAACP Youth Council will hold its regular monthly meeting on Thursday, July 11, 2024, at 114 West Market Street in Bolivar at 5:30 p.m. All members are urged to attend and new members are welcome. For more information contact Ms. Shirley Mason, advisor at (731) 609-6595 or Ms. Wanda Robinson at (731) 518-5896.
