Oakland Police Search for Suspect in Armed Robbery
The Oakland Police Department is searching for a suspect in an armed robbery, which happened on Saturday, November 25, 2023, at approximately 1:30 p.m. at the Exxon station on Highway 64 at Old Highway 196 in Oakland, Tennessee. A quick response lead to the capture of one of the possible suspects very shortly after the incident took place. Along with assistance from the Fayette County Sheriff’s Department, the Oakland Police Department began searching for the second possible suspect, who they identified as a black male named Devonta L. Ivy. Mr. Ivy was wearing black jeans, a black hoodie with yellow stripes, and a white and black bandana. He is considered to be armed and dangerous. If you see him, do not approach him, immediately dial 911. Mr. Ivy was last seen walking East on Donnelson Road from Highway 196 and then again on Feathers Chapel Drive.
