Barbara L. Walton ~ December 13, 1954 ~ November 1, 2023 (age 68)
Barbara L. Walton was born December 13, 1954, to the late Adell Morrow and the late Ruth Morrow Turner. She departed this life on Wednesday, November 1, 2023.
Barbara grew up in Hardeman County and attended Hardeman County Schools.
At an early age, she professed Christ as her Lord and Savior at Mays Hill Missionary Baptist Church. In her adult life, she attended Greater Victory Church under the leadership of Pastor B.L. Jackson.
She became a certified nursing assistant in 2009 and also worked as a caregiver for over 40 years.
Her funeral service will be held at Spring Hill Missionary Baptist Church-Moscow on Saturday November 11, 2023, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Eddie Walton in charge. Burial will be in the Mays Hill Church Cemetery-Hickory Valley and Dixie Funeral Home is in charge of the professional service.
Barbara was preceded in death by her daughter, Tomikia Morrow; her father, Adell Morrow, Sr.; mother; Ruth Morrow Turner; brother; Early Hugh Morrow; three sisters, Mattie Polk, Ruthie Smith, and Rosie Walton; niece, Yvette Smith; two nephews, Corey Lewis and Demetric Morrow.
Barbara leaves to cherish her memory her daughter, Cardeshia Walton of Memphis, Tennessee: two sons, Edmond (Keira) Walton of Memphis, Tennessee and Quintin (Corshanta) Walton of Hickory Valley, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Janyah Walton, Faith Walton, Quintavis Walton, E’Mira Walton, Ed’Drickques Walton, and Cardashia Puckett; great grandchild, Mar’Drickques Puckett; six sisters, Gloria (Gary) Jones, Charlene (Billy) Jones, Louise (Kevin) Lake, Sherry Morrow, Latonia Morrow, and Shanika (Nicholas) Williams; two brothers, Adell Morrow, Jr. and Johnny (Carla) Morrow; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
