Obituary: Bob Turner Jr.

Bob Turner, Jr. ~ February 11, 1957 – December 10, 2022  (age 65)

Bob Turner Jr. was born February 11, 1957, to the late Bob Turner, Sr. and Katherine Young in Grand junction, Tennessee.

His funeral service was held at Hardaway Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday December 17, 2022, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Joseph Johnson in charge. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home was in charge of the professional service.

Bob attended Fayette County School system. He later received his G.E.D. at Northwest Mississippi Community College. He was employed at Memorex, Biltrite, and later Glasteel where he remained until his health failed.

Bob was united in holy matrimony to Georgia Morgan and to this union four children were born. He later was united to Delia Poplar and this union combined nine children. Bob loved his family, motorcycles, racing, and working. He had a smile that would light up any room.

Bob was preceded in death by his father, Bob Turner, Sr.; and one sister, Shandora Turner.

Bob leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Delia Poplar; three daughters, Titania Morgan, Shanda Turner, and Misha (Patrick) Gibson all of Michigan City, Mississippi; two sons, Tyree (Crystal) Turner of Olive Branch, Mississippi and Mileke Turner of Bolivar, Tennessee: five grandchildren; Demonte Tipler, Terriyah Gibson, Mandrell Donis, Jayceon Morgan, and Tyren Turner; two sisters, Cheryl McClellan of Bartlett, Tennessee and Sherri Lynn Hoyle of Grand Junction, Tennessee: three brothers, Lonnie Turner of Chicago, Illinois, Wayne (Evonne) Murden of Michigan City, Mississippi, and Stacy (Crystal) Turner of Bolivar, Tennessee; five stepchildren, Angela Poplar, Vicky (Kenny) Williams, Carolyn (Troy) Morman, Tenille (Kevin) Scott, and David Wayne Poplar; one uncle, Thurman Lewis of Chicago, Illinois; one aunt, Pearlie Mae Murdock of Memphis, Tennessee; one little girl he cared for as his own, Tarmari Hardeman; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
