Obituary: Brian Anthony Heinzen – Collierville, Tennessee
Brian Anthony Heinzen, 49, of Collierville, passed away on September 3, 2022. He was born in Jackson, Tennessee on June 7, 1973, and was a 1991 graduate of
Bolivar Central high School. Brian worked at the FedEx Hub in Memphis and just recently celebrated his 25th anniversary there. Brian loved his family. His son, Jax, was the joy of his life. Brian also had an extra special bond with his nephew and buddy, Joshua. He was a compassionate, gentle giant who always provided quick witted humor and recitation of movie quotes. Brian enjoyed wrestling, fantasy football, and movies. He loved to play board games and would often organize game nights with family and friends.
A funeral mass was held Saturday, September 10, 2022, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Bolivar. Burial was in Bolivar Memorial Cemetery. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of professional arrangements.
Brian was the son of the late Norman and Doris Heinzen. He is survived by one son, Landon Jax Lackey, and eight siblings, David Heinzen (Judy) of Dadeville, Alabama, Alan Heinzen (Sue) of Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Diane Suhrke of DePere, Wisconsin, Mary Heinzen of Collierville, Joan Martin (Tom) of Collierville, Gail Kessler (Fred) of Bolivar, Jim Heinzen (Cordreanne) of Tampa, Florida, Angie Hurley (Marvin) of Collierville; many nieces and nephews; and his close friend/co-parent, Jacki Lackey of Covington.
Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis.
