Obituary: Evelyn C. Johnson – Grand Valley Lakes, Tennessee
Memorial services for Evelyn C. Johnson, age 78, of Grand Valley Lakes will be held on Sunday, October 23, 2022, at 2 p.m. in the lodge at Grand Valley. Mrs. Johnson departed this life on Sunday, October 9, 2022, at Christian Care Center in Bolivar.
A native of Olney, Maryland, she was the daughter of the late Claude Allen Cook and Roberta Belle Galloway Cook. She was a member of Bolivar First Baptist Church and lived the last 20 years in Hardeman County.
Mrs. Johnson had worked as a radiology technician and was a former member of the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. She loved to go camping and had done so all over the United States and Alaska, which was her favorite destination. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the StarCraft Camper Club and, in her leisure time, enjoyed knitting
especially to make prayer shawls for others.
She is survived by a daughter, Mary Ann Rives; a son, Raymond Stafford Johnson; four stepchildren, Pamela Mae Johnson, Daryl Don Johnson, Raymond Neal Johnson, and Michael Allen Johnson; and long-time companion, Patrick Conway of Grand Valley Lakes.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Norman Don Johnson, who passed away July 26, 2010. Memorial contributions may be sent to the American Diabetes Association or the Pine Meadows Activity Department.
