Obituary: Frances Louise Joy
Frances Louise Joy ~ July 20, 1959 – September 3, 2022 (age 63)
Very peacefully on Saturday, September 3, 2022, the Almighty God closed the eyes of our beautiful angel, Frances Louise Joy, and she entered into eternal rest. Her funeral service was held on Saturday September 10, 2022, at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home with Reverend Jerry Crisp in charge. Burial was in the Union Hill Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home was in charge of the professional service.
Frances was the daughter of the late Mae Emma Cheairs and Mr. Isaiah Rubben of Hardeman County, Tennessee. Four brothers, Isaiah Cheairs Jr., Lethaniel Cheairs, James Robert Cheairs, and Charles Cheairs; and one sister, Alice Faye Cheairs, all preceded her in death.
She accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of New Bethel Missionary Baptist Church in Bolivar, Tennessee and later joined Union Hill Missionary Baptist Church in Whiteville, Tennessee. Frances was a faithful and dedicated usher until her health failed.
Frances Louise Joy leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughter, Natasha (Cedric) Carter; two sisters, Mary Ruth Cheairs and Cleo (Nell) Polk both of Bolivar, Tennessee; four brothers, Early Hugh (Barbara) Cheairs of Whiteville, Tennessee, Hugh Cheairs, Michael Cheairs of Bolivar, Tennessee, and John Archie (Barbara) Cheairs of Toone, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Rodarius Anderson, Cedric Carter Jr., and Miracle Monae Carter, who preceded her in death and loved dearly; very close friends, Annie B. Cross, Joanne Clark; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and dear friends who will cherish her memory.
