James Lewis Galigher ~ November 23, 1957 – March 15, 2023 (age 65)
James Lewis Galigher, age 65, of Medon, passed away on Wednesday evening, March 15, 2023, at his home.
The son of the late J. T. and Dorothy Pauline Sisco Galigher, he was a life-long resident of Hardeman County. Mr. Galigher was a retired truck driver for the Hardeman County Highway Department and a member of Shandy Baptist Church.
Mr. Galigher married Kelly Joan Maybury on June 16, 1978, and she departed this life on June 24, 2002. He also was preceded in death by two sisters, Joy Sipes and Phyllis Wiggins; and a brother, Lynn Galigher.
In his leisure time, Mr. Galigher enjoyed deer hunting, going to the river, and spending time with his grandchildren.
Services were at the Shackelford chapel in Bolivar on Saturday, March 18, 2023, at 1 p.m. Burial was in Shandy Baptist Church Cemetery.
He leaves a daughter, Erica Galigher, of Medon; a son, David Galigher, of Lexington; his companion, Tori Dowdy, of Medon; three sisters, Patricia Hawkins (Kent) of Memphis, Sheila Brandenburg (Steve), also of Memphis, and Charlotte Howell of Jackson; two brothers, Randy Galigher of Toone and Doug Galigher (Sue) of Arkansas; and six grandchildren, Allyssa Galigher, Alana Galigher, Jacob Young, and Kellie, Kylee and Zander Haase.
