Obituary: James M. “Jim” Hines
James M. “Jim” Hines, 77, Army veteran and former employee of Methodist Healthcare, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2025. He was born July 16, 1948, and was preceded by his parents, Hiram and Nina Hines of Saulsbury, and his sister, Peggy.
After graduating from high school and college, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany. After military service, he lived in Dallas for several years, eventually moving back to Memphis and working at Methodist Healthcare until retirement.
There will be a graveside service scheduled at a later date at Saulsbury Cemetery. The family requests memorials be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar is in charge of professional arrangements.
