John Peden ~ August 16, 1956 – July 9, 2023 (age 66)
John Peden, 66, of Middleton, passed away on Saturday, July 9, 2023, at Bolivar General Hospital.
The husband of Ashlyn Idol Peden, who survives, he was the owner and agent of Phoenix Insurance Company, based out of Memphis, for over 30 years. Mr. Peden was born on August 16, 1956, in Memphis, the son of Thomas George Peden who preceded him in death, and Marie Green Peden of Memphis. He married Ashlyn on February 12, 1995, in Key West, Florida and together they moved to Hardeman County in 1996. Mr. Peden was a good Christian man, loving to hang out with his friends and enjoyed river life, his dogs, being outdoors and just ‘life in general’. An avid musician, he and his sister had a Christian band named ‘Reconciled’ and he also traveled with a rock band, playing all over the area.
Memorial services will be at the Shackelford Funeral Home chapel in Bolivar on Thursday, July 13, 2023, at 3 p.m. Thurs., July 13, 2023.
In addition to his wife and his mother, survivors include two daughters, Autumn Peden (Marcus Nash) of Stantonville and Adrienne Mosley of Selmer; a son, Alex Peden of Selmer; a sister, Beth Morris (Wayne) of Germantown; five grandchildren, Tripp Mosley, Monroe Mosley, Morlen Mosley, W.T. Nash and one “on the way”, Baby Nash. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Reid Peden and a sister, Margaret Peden Ingram. Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
