Obituary: Jr. Faulk

Jr. Faulk ~ July 17, 1934 – October 12, 2023 (age 89)

Jr. Faulk, 89, of Bolivar, passed from this life on Thursday, October 12, 2023, at Bolivar General Hospital. Private services will take place at a later date.

He was born on July 17, 1934, in Covington, Tennessee, to the late Earl Faulk and Mattie Bennett. Mr. Faulk graduated from Byars-Hall High School in Covington, Tennessee. He served in the Korean War. On April 6, 1957, he married Billie L. Neely, and she passed away on May 10, 2018. They moved to Bolivar in 1958. Mr. Faulk was retired from Western Mental Health Institute. He was known for his love of sports and was a referee/umpire for TSSAA for over 50+ years. He enjoyed spending his days at the Hardeman County Country Club Golf Course with his friends and grandchildren. Jr. never met a stranger and loved spending time with family.

His survivors include his two sons, Ronnie Faulk and Michael Faulk, both of Bolivar; three grandchildren, Clark (Brandy) Faulk, Jeremiah Faulk, and Ethan (Tina) Faulk; and six great grandchildren, Makayla, Dayton, Layne and Jaxson Faulk, and Case and Piper Baker; and a great great grandchild ‘on the way’. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Faulk and a sister, Carolyn Bennett.

Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar is in charge of arrangements.
