Obituary: Kenneth Pulse
Kenneth Pulse ~ October 9, 1939 – October 4, 2023 (age 83)
Kenneth Pulse, 83, of Walnut, Mississippi, departed this life Wednesday, October 4, 2023, at Christian Care Center in Bolivar.
Mr. Pulse was born on Monday, October 9, 1939, in Brownfield, Mississippi, son of the late Frank Cornelius “Doc” Pulse and Martha Hazel Mohundro Pulse and lived in Walnut for the past 50 years. He retired as a driver for Jones Brothers Trucking in Springdale, Arkansas and was also self-employed as a contractor and was in real estate. Mr. Pulse loved being around his goats and his dogs, “Bear” and “Baby”. He was known to be very tender-hearted and take in every stray animal. Mr. Pulse was a member of Middleton First United Methodist Church.
Services will be at the Shackelford Funeral Home chapel on Saturday, October 7, 2023, in Middleton at 10 a.m. with burial in the Pulse Cemetery.
Survivors include his four sons, Kenny Pulse (Cindy), Kerry Pulse, Kyle Pulse (Ginger), and Kent Pulse, all of Middleton; three brothers, Randall Pulse (Deb), Marion Pulse (Kathy), and David Pulse (Wanda), all of Middleton; five grandchildren, Penny Pulse, Whitley Russom (Wesley), Haley Pulse, Jesse Pulse, and Frank Pulse; and four great grandchildren, Dawson Callonas, Brantley Pulse, Kylie Gaggley,and Willabell Russom. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Pulse; two sisters, Polly Robinson and Helen Young; a grandson, Ray Pulse, and a great grandson, Trace Callonas. Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
