Obituary: Lizzie Mae Beard McNeal

Lizzie Mae Beard McNeal ~ May 25, 1940 – December 9, 2024 (age 84)

Lizzie Mae Beard McNeal was born May 25, 1940, to the late Richard and Allie Ray Boyle Beard.

Her funeral service will be held at the Dixie Funeral Home on Wednesday December 18, 2024, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Shon Beasley in charge. The burial will be in the Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home is in charge of the professional service.

Two of her sisters, Bettie and Geneva preceded her in death.

She attended Allen White High School in Hardeman County and was employed at Harmon Automotive for over 24 years.

Lizzie accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior and was united with Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. She love the Lord. Lizzie later joined Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church where she was very faithful. She attended Sunday service, Sunday school, missionary Bible class, and was a member of the mother’s board.

Lizzie loved attending the senior citizen center. She was a member of the associate choir member of the NAACP, and enjoyed going to ball games and supporting her great grandchildren.

Lizzie was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Thomas McNeal.

She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Treese in 2013.

Lizzie leads to cherish her memories three sons, Minister Clarence Edward (Judith), Elvin Donell, and Milton Beard; one daughter, Gwen Dora ( Melvin) Brown; eleven grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law; two nieces as caregivers, Mary (Speedie) Miller and Janice (Elliot) Morrow; two special neighbors whom served as caregivers, Reverend Charlie and Tina Boyle; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
