Obituary: Maggie Sue Woods

Maggie Sue Woods ~ October 24, 1933 – March 30, 2023 (age 89)

Maggie Sue Woods, 89, of Bolivar passed away on Thursday March 30, 2023. She was born in Fayette County on October 24, 1933, to the late Rose Woods and Will Crews. 

Her funeral service was held at Green Grove MB church with Pastor Daryl Ransom in charge on Saturday April 8, 2023, at 12 p.m. Burial was in the church cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home was in charge of the professional service. 

She confessed a hope in Jesus Christ at a young age and joined Old Bethel MB Church where she became a member of the choir.  On December 8, 1057 she married Robert L. Woods and joined Green Grove MB Church where she again joined the chior.  

She was a member of the Independent Lodge Local #1.  

She was a housewife and enjoyed taking care of her family and church friends.  

Preceding her in death were her parents; three siblings, RosieMae Woods, Thomas Norment and Leo Tatum and other relatives.  

She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Dorothy (Jimmie Lee) Rucker, Jeannette (Charlie Ray) Johnson, Debra Bowden, Robert l. (Brenda) and Ricky Lynn (Shelia) Woods; nine grandchildren, twenty-two great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends that will truly miss her.
