Chip Vincent, Jason Vincent, Brad Vincent, Andrew Vincent, Tyler Vincent, and John King will serve as pallbearers.

Margaret, our beloved mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, was born on June 2, 1921, in Hickory Valley, Tennessee to the late Samuel and Hester Avent. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her dear husband of 66 years, Roderick DeWitt Vincent; brothers Phenton Avent (Bolivar), Wade Avent (Bolivar), Jim Avent (Whiteville), Frank Avent (Bolivar); and sisters Bernice Sandy (Corinth, Mississippi) and Emma Lousie Sain (Bolivar). She is survived by her devoted children, Philip (Bobbie) Vincent (Sevierville) and Don (Marsha) Vincent (Bremen), and her brother Ben (Bea) Avent (Corinth, Mississippi).

She is also survived by five loving grandchildren, Kimberly Vincent (Sevierville), Pamela (John) King (Centre Alabama), Chip (Traci) Vincent (Kennesaw GA), Jason (Laura) Vincent (Kennesaw GA), and Brad (Karen) Vincent (Savannah GA); as well as eight great grandchildren (Andrew, Ella, Tyler, Preston, Ariana, Franklin, Emory, and Ryan), and many nieces and nephews.

After graduating from high school, Margaret attended beauty school and eventually owned her own business, Jefferson Beauty Shop in East Point, Georgia. She worked fulltime while being a doting housewife and mother. Alongside her family, she was a steadfast member in her community churches, serving as a Sunday school teacher at multiple Baptist churches in Tennessee, Georgia, and Florida. Margaret diligently performed community outreach services including visitation and tape ministries to shut-ins and hospital patients. She particularly enjoyed ministering to children and those in nursing homes, and was thankful that God allowed her to serve Him in these meaningful ways.

Margaret’s devotion was to the Lord, her family, and her friends. Margaret’s family would like to thank her caregivers at Ashbrook Village Senior Living in Villa Rica, Georgia, who showed care and compassion over the last three years, as well as the wonderful healthcare providers at Sacred Journey Hospice.

If desired and in lieu of flowers, family and friends may make memorial contributions to St Jude’s Children Hospital in Memphis, Tennessee.
