Obituary: Melanie Lynn Martin
Melanie Lynn Martin passed away on Monday, May 20, 2024, in Harriman, Tennessee. Born on Wednesday, December 8, 1965, in Jackson, Tennessee, to the late James Thomas Martin and Judy Eileen Thomas Martin, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Melanie dedicated several years of her life working at Sam’s Town in Tunica and, in her career, she also held various other jobs in Tennessee. Described as a kind and compassionate person, Melanie had a special place in her heart for her “fur-babies” – Percy and Smokey, her cherished cats, and Cookie, her beloved dog. Melanie’s nurturing nature extended not only to animals but also to her family and friends. She was a 1984 graduate of Bolivar Central High School.
Melanie is survived by her aunts, Betty Brown of Middleton and Brenda Fish of Bolivar; and cousins, Pamela Johnson, Katherine Ware, and Kevin Keller. All will hold to the fond memories they have of Melanie and the time they shared together.
A private memorial with family will be scheduled at future date.
Memorials may be sent to Hardeman Adoptable Animals.
