Obituary: Mersheila Cortina Hudson-Ayers
Mersheila Cortina Hudson-Ayers passed away on Tuesday December 3, 2024, in Nashville. She was born on August 14, 1970, to the late Dorothy Ann Hudson and Jimmy Peters.
Her funeral service will be held at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at Dixie Funeral Home on Saturday December 21, 2024, with Reverend Gene Bowden in charge. The burial will be in the Bolivar Community Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home is in charge of the professional service.
She attended school in Bolivar, Tennessee, Fairfield, California, and Torrejon, Spain. Mersheila received a receptionist diploma from Turner Job Corp Center (Albany, Georgia) and Northwest Mississippi Community College.
In 2015, she retired from nursing (LPN) due to ill health and began full time her hobby of genealogy. She enjoyed spending time with family, her grandchildren, and traveling.
Mersheila leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Mersheila Christina Hudson, Darell Edward Ayers, and Tridarell Devonte Ayers; one brother, Iverous Hudson; two sisters, Kristen and Keundra Peters; ten grandchildren; three aunts; two uncles; and many other relatives and friends who will miss her.
