Mike Meyer ~ December 20, 1994 – April 14, 2023 (age 28)
Mike Meyer, 28, of Somerville, passed away Friday, April 14, 2023. The son of Daniel Lee and Linda Mae Clark Meyer, who survive.
Mr. Meyer was born on Tuesday, December 20, 1994, in Johnson City, New York and moved here in 2013. He had lived in Somerville since 2017. Mr. Meyer graduated from the Middleburg Central School system in 2013, and was active in the Boy Scouts, track, baseball, football, and many other sports. He worked for the past two years in line production maintenance with Memphis Contracting Plant in Somerville. Prior to that, he worked for the Fayette County school system in the cafeteria. Mr. Meyer enjoyed fishing, animals, parties, but held his greatest love for his family, who meant everything to him. “Fly High, Mike” is the message from his family. Mike was a firm believer in God.
Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of professional arrangements. Survivors include his fiancé’, Tommi Lynn Marlar of Somerville; his parents, Dan nd Linda Meyer of Bolivar; a sister, Nicole Isaacs (Joe) of Sherburne, New York; two brothers, Jeremiah Clark of Earlville, New York and Dusten Meyer of Oakland, Tennessee; his maternal grandparents, Pauline Davidson (Alan) of Port Crane, New York; four nieces, Allison, Riley, Kayleigh, and Keira; two nephews, Jacob and Zander; and a host of cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends who will miss him.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Crystal Meyer; paternal grandparents, John and Ruth Meyer; and his maternal grandfather, Earl Clark.
Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to the Fayette County Animal Rescue.
