Obituary: Myra Faye (Lloyd) Peace – Saulsbury, Tennessee

Myra Faye (Lloyd) Peace ~ February 24, 1928 – November 20, 2022 (age 94)

Myra Faye (Lloyd) Peace was born to Wayne and Vada Lloyd on February 24, 1928, in Gibson County, Tennessee (Skullbone Community). She departed this life on November 20, 2022, at her home in Saulsbury.

Myra attended high school at Trezevant, Tennessee and later went to Draughn’s Business College in Memphis. Then she was an administrative assistant for Emerson Conners Food Brokers. Myra relocated to Memphis where she met and married Bob C. Peace in 1964. She was preceded in death by her beloved
husband, Bob Peace, and one sister, Una Mae Belew.

She leaves three children, Judy Kay Brantley, Ronnie Parkinson (Sherrie), David Parkinson (Linda); four stepchildren, Robert Peace (Debbie), Michael Peace (Leanna), Chery Fellows, and Marty Peace (Chris); eighteen grandchildren between them; and 40 great grandchildren. Myra became a Christian early in life at age 13.

Presently, she was a member of West Memorial Baptist Church in Saulsbury, where she sang in the choir and occasionally played the piano. Myra worked in the Awana program for children from 1998 until 2016.

The family requests any memorials be made to the Gideon’s International. Pallbearers are to be her grandsons, Wayne Edwards, Michael Thorne, Patrick Parkinson, and Jarrett Chambers, and great grandsons, Pressly Thorne and Noah Wood.
