Obituary: Paula Louise Green Wallace

Paula Louise Green Wallace was born in Electra, Texas to Frances Allene (Slaton) Green and Dr. Paul Martin Green on September 26, 1951. The youngest of three children, Paula was the most active and engaged with sports throughout her life.
As a child, she learned horseback riding and competed in horse shows featuring English style riding. She thrilled us with equestrian competitions. Her first horse, Coldwater Jack, was acquired in 1988.
As children, Paula and future husband, Robert Evan Wallace attended the Hermann Sons Youth in Comfort, Texas. The two did not, at first, show interest in each other. However, at Texas Tech University Paula and Bob began dating and romance blossomed. They married on December 30, 1972 in San Antonio, Texas.
From ROTC, Bob joined the Air Force, was selected as a pilot. He served in Vietnam.
Paula earned her degree in Early Childhood Development at Texas Tech.
Services will be at Christ the King Lutheran Church, 5296 Park Avenue, Memphis, on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 12 p.m. The burial will be in the West Tennessee Veterans Cemetery in Memphis. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar is in charge of professional arrangements.
Their two sons, Michael Rex and Bryan Evan Wallace, make their homes near Memphis. Michael and wife, Amber Mitchell, have three children, Grant Michael, Luke Mitchell, and Grace “Gracie” Margaret Wallace.
Bryan’s wife, Angela Dawn “Angie”, has three daughters from a previous marriage, Katy, Emily, and Anna Tyler.
Paula was a faithful member of the Lutheran Church. She had a strong belief in the Christian gospel. Her family looks forward to joining her with our Lord Jesus. Memorial contributions in her name may be sent to Hardeman Adoptable Animals.
