Obituary: Peggye Dodd Daniel LaCroix – Bolivar, Tennessee
Peggye Dodd Daniel LaCroix ~ May 12, 1948 – December 17, 2022
Peggye Dodd Daniel LaCroix, 74, of Bolivar departed this life on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Bolivar General Hospital.
Mrs. LaCroix was born on May 12, 1948, to the late Leo Alvis Dodd, Sr. and Maggie Harris Dodd. She was united in marriage to Joe T. LaCroix on Saturday, May 6, 1995, and was a member of Walnut Grove Baptist Church.
She was a native of Hardeman County and worked at Armira before becoming disabled with Crohn’s disease. Mrs. LaCroix was also a breast cancer survivor. Over the years, she took care of many children and quipped, “God put me here to take care of kids.”
Mrs. LaCroix is survived by a son, Jared LaCroix of Bolivar; granddaughters Charidy Daniel, Michelle Woods, both of Bolivar, and Courtney Daniel Smith and husband Matthew of Searcy, Arkansas; and grandsons Billy Joe West of Whiteville and Owen Daniel and wife Megan of
Tulsa, Oklahoma; six great-grandchildren; and a great-great-granddaughter.
Services are at the Shackelford chapel in Bolivar on Friday, December 23, 2022, at 1 p.m. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home in Bolivar. Burial is in Walnut Grove Cemetery.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Gerald Kenneth Daniel, Jr.; two daughters Jacqueline Kay Daniel West and Angela Dawn Bryant; three brothers, Leo Alvis Dodd, Jr., Donald Randolph Dodd, and Rodney Wayne Dodd; and a sister, Elmer Christine Novay.
