Obituary: Randall Wayne Howell, Sr. – Bolivar, Tennessee

Memorial Services will be scheduled at a future date for Randall Wayne Howell, Sr., 55,

of Bolivar, who passed away Saturday, August 20, 2022, at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Born in and a life-long resident of Hardeman County, he was the son of Nancy Alexander Cobb of Bolivar and Harold Wade Howell of Middleton. Mr. Howell  was a retired truck driver and logger having worked for Skeeter Dorris, Timothy Hooper, Simmons, and other logging companies in the area. He was a member of Silerton Baptist Church.

In his leisure time, he enjoyed motorcycle rides and fishing. A kind and compassionate man who would give you the shirt off his back, Mr. Howell is described by his family as a great cook who knew how to keep his home clean and organized. He was a hard worker that deeply loved his entire family, especially his granddaughter whom he would often babysit.

He leaves his daughter, Victoria Howell of Jackson; his two sons, Randall Howell, Jr. and Preston Howell, both of Chester County; his mother, Nancy Cobb of Bolivar; his father, Harold Wade Howell of Middleton; his granddaughter, Hazel Brooks of Jackson; his niece, Nikki Howell of Mesa, Arizona; two nephews, Jason Howell of Toone, and Tim Howell and great-niece, Vera Howell, of Carlsbad, California; great-niece, Brooklyn Howell of Toone; two sisters, Rita Gregovich of Spokane, Washington and Robin Waide of Herrin, Illinois; and one brother, Shawn Cobb of Hope, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Tim Howell, in 1998; and step-father, Tom Cobb, in 2022.

Memorials may be sent to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis.
