Obituary: Randy Antwine
Randy Antwine, a cherished member of the Middleton community, passed away peacefully in his home on Monday, November 3, 2025, at the age of 64. Born on September 25, 1961, Randy lived a life richly filled with love, laughter, and dedication to his family and work.
A graduate of Middleton High School in 1979, Randy’s early enthusiasm for learning carried him to Memphis State University, setting the foundation for a successful career. He devoted 38 years of his professional life to U.S. Silica Company, where he served as a shipping coordinator, contributing his time and talent until his well-deserved retirement in 2022.
Randy’s passions were many. He had an unwavering love for music, and he found immense pride in the accomplishments of his sons. Watching Justin Antwine preach the gospel and Chase Antwine perform music filled his heart with joy. An avid sports fan, he tirelessly supported the New York Yankees and the University of Memphis basketball teams, often cheering them on with infectious enthusiasm. In quieter moments, he could be found enjoying John Wayne movies and the laughable antics of the Three Stooges, showcasing his vibrant personality and zest for life.
His love extended beyond sports and media; Randy was also a devoted pet owner to his beloved weiner dogs, “Tootsie” and “Winnie,” who brought extra joy to his days. As a member of Rogers Springs Church of Christ and a former deacon at New Hope Church of Christ, his faith played an integral role in his life.
Randy is survived by his beloved wife, whom he married on February 24, 1984, Angie Lipford Antwine, of Middleton, and his two sons, Justin Antwine and Chase Antwine, along with his fiancé, Sarah Pipkin, of Pinson. His family also includes his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Sammy and Janice Lipford of Middleton, and his brothers-in-law, Brad Lipford of Middleton and Eric Lipford of Memphis.
He joins in eternal rest his parents, James Antwine and Mattie Lou Reid Antwine, and his older infant brother, James Carman Antwine, leaving a legacy of love that will continue to resonate through the lives he touched.
Friends and family are invited to celebrate Randy’s life at New Hope Church of Christ, located at 1770 New Hope Road in Middleton, Tennessee. A visitation will take place at Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar on Monday, November 10, 2025, from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 1 p.m. Shackelford Funeral Directors is in charge of professional arrangements.
Randy’s spirit will forever shine brightly in the hearts of those who loved him, and he will be deeply missed. His laughter, kindness, and love for life will be remembered fondly by all who knew him. Memorial contributions in his name may be sent to Tennessee Dachshund Rescue or the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research.
