Obituary: Sandi Milford Pike

Sandi Milford Pike ~ December 16, 1953 – June 29, 2023 (age 69)

Sandi Milford Pike, age 69, a 21-year resident of Bolivar, passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, June 29, 2023. She was met in glory by her precious Lord and merciful Savior and by her loving parents, the late James “Papa Jim” Milford and Shirley “Granny Mim” Milford. Sandi was born on December 16, 1953.

She was a former member of Colonial Baptist Church in Memphis, Warren Baptist Church in Augusta, Georgia, and most recently was a member of Dixie Hills Baptist Church in Bolivar. Sandi was a graduate of Union University in Jackson and earned her Master’s Degree from Central Michigan University in Fort Gordon, Georgia. She was employed by the VA hospital in Memphis as well as the Department of Energy – Savannah River Site while living in Augusta, Georgia. Maintaining her beautiful home and property was one of Sandi’s pleasurable pastimes. Through the years, she also enjoyed being involved with the Red Hat Society, Rook Club, and various Bible study groups. Sandi had an insatiable hunger for learning, sharing, and living out the Word of God.

Sandi is survived by her step-children, Kathy West (GJ), John Keith Pike, and Kevin Pike (Jennifer) of Georgia; her siblings Patsy Bierbrodt (Jerry), Joellen Evans (Wib), Kelly Price (Bob), and Keith Milford (Trish); her grandchildren Kelsey Melton, Kaylee West, Matthew West, Caroline Pike, and Carsyn Pike; her 12 nieces and nephews; nine grand-nieces and nephews; and some very special cousins. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband John Pike.

Services for Sandi will be held at Dixie Hills Baptist Church on Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at 11 a.m. with burial in Memphis
Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Shackelford Funeral Directors of Bolivar were in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Samaritan’s Purse or K-LOVE radio.
