Obituary: Sandy Eugene Bowers
Sandy Eugene Bowers, 62, passed away suddenly on Saturday, June 15, 2024. He was born on February 14, 1962, to Earlean Bowers and the late Clyde Braddock.
He attended the Hardeman County public schools and was a Bolivar Central High School graduate. After high school, attended Tennessee State University.
Mr. Bowers was married to the late Jernice Bowers.
He was employed at Harmon International and Whiteville Correctional Facility where he retired due to illness.
Mr. Bowers was not a man of many words, but action. He was a member of Amazing Grace COGIC and later joined Open Arms Outreach Ministries. He loved his family and friends and being around food.
Preceding him in death was his father and two sisters, Nellie and Patricia.
He leaves to cherish his memory his son, Stefan Bowers; his mother; three brothers, Clyde (Joann), Daryl (Sadie), and Aaron (Grenesha) Braddock; one sister, Caroline Smith; and many other relatives and friends who will truly miss him.
Mr. Bowers’ funeral service will be held at the Jerome Boyd Chapel at the Dixie Funeral Home on Saturday June 22, 2024, at 2 p.m. with Pastor Herbert Murphy in charge. Burial will be in the Little Walnut Grove Church Cemetery and Dixie Funeral Home is in charge of the professional service.
