Obituary: Thermon “Terry” Rose

Thermon T Rose ~ October 25, 1959 – June 16, 2023 (age 63)

Thermon “Terry” Rose also lovingly known as “BZ”, born October 25, 1959, to the late Odie H. Rose and Bernice Humphrey Rose. He was one of eight children.

His funeral service was held at the Jerome Boyd chapel at Dixie Funeral Home on Saturday June 24, 2023, at 4 p.m. with Minister Shobeck Dethrow in charge. Dixie Funeral Home was in charge of the professional service.

Mr. Rose spent his formative years in Benton County, Mississippi, graduated from Ashland High School, and attended Alcorn State University. After two years of college, he enlisted in the United States Air Force where he carried out 15 years of service. After which, he began his second career working for Bell South (later AT&T) where he retired after 20+ years.

Mr. Rose went to be with the Lord June 16, 2023. He was preceded in his journey to heaven by three of his siblings, Lee Smith Jr., Ethel Mae Winston, and Mary Ann Majors.

To cherish his memories and carry on his legacy, Thermon Terry Rose leaves behind his daughters, Kialee Rose Rodwell of Michigan, Kamilah “Shug” Rose of Virginia, and his son Christian Ford of Tennessee; his siblings, Hermon Rose of Mississippi, Al (Julie) Rose of Maryland, Michael (Tammy) Rose of Mississippi, and Veleda (Shobek) Dethrow of Mississippi. In addition, he will be severely missed by his three grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, and countless other family and friends.
