“One Church From Bolivar” Comes Together for Community Prayer
It was Wednesday night church service at the Bolivar courthouse square amphitheater as people from around the City of Bolivar came together for church and the Community Prayer & Worship Rally on September 28, 2022. There were no religious denomination distinctions. It was “one church from Bolivar, Tennessee” as Bolivar Mayor Julian described the body of people who came and worshipped together during the rally.
A dinner of hot dogs, chips, and drinks was served. Preachers and ministers from Bolivar prayed for the people who attended, the citizens of Bolivar, the residents of Hardeman County, and the country. Mayor McTizic was happy to see the goals of the rally accomplished.
“We wanted to bring the people together, believers in Christ as a community, worshipping God under one setting, outside of race,” said McTizic. “I am overjoyed with the turnout. I’m excited to do another one soon. Hopefully, more people will come out. We will continue to try to break down the divisive walls in our community.”
