“Origin” Showing for Free in Honor of Black History Month

Join the Dixie Benefit Association at the Luez Theater on North Main Street in Bolivar, Tennessee, as it screens “Origin,” the latest film written and directed by Ava DuVernay (“Selma” and “When They See Us”). Based on the book “Caste” by Isabel Wilkerson, and starring Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor, “Origin” has been described as “a sincere, passionate, and excellently acted film that takes us on a discovery, with wonder, of fascinating historical situations” while exploring the origins and connections of racism across cultures.

Two Screenings:

Monday, February 19, 2024 – 6 p.m.
